UNIONTOWN COMMUNITY BUILDING BOARD
MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2026
UNIONTOWN, WASH. — The Board of the Uniontown Community Building (UCB) wants to announce that it is no longer in control of the downtown property that the group has managed for over 72 years..
The UCB built the building with the help of community members from all around the region, including from Colton, Genesee and Uniontown. “The building has always been managed by our group, so the transition away from the UCB is very upsetting to us.”
The group paid for or did the work to upgrade the building over time, including creating a new kitchen in the basement when event outgrew the top floor amenities, replacing windows, and replacing stoves.
“These historical archives show how strong the community has been to support this building and the group who ran it,” UCB board said. The wheel has been running smoothly and has no squeak that needed grease to fix it.
Records show the UCB paid to offset about half of the city’s insurance payment in 2025 worth $5,500 for the coverage on the building.
“The UCB board would like to get back to working alongside the Town of Uniontown and they hope that we’re able to return to what has worked well for our group,” the president added.
UCB will rent the building for the 2027 sausage feed and hopes the community volunteers will continue to support the group’s efforts.

The annual Sausage Feed is Sunday March 7, 2027, from 10am to 5pm a fundraiser for our local community. This year it will be an held in person with an all you can eat meal The $20 meal includes ¾ lb. sausage made from a secret recipe, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, green beans, applesauce, roll, and choice of pie.
